ESENCIA - The Foundation
Not just a beginners class. The backbone of everything.
Esencia is where every serious dancer starts - or returns to. Whether you have never danced before or have been dancing for years and feel like something is missing, Esencia is where real progress happens.
We focus on the details most classes skip. Proper technique, body mechanics, timing, footwork, musicality. Not only combinations. Not choreography. The real work that makes everything else possible.
Esencia is also the recommended starting point before joining Alma or Fuego.
ESENCIA 1 · Movement Fundamentals
Most people think salsa starts with steps. We disagree.
Before the combinations, before the patterns, before anything else - there is the body. How it shifts weight, how it creates rhythm, how it interprets music. This is where everything begins.
You will learn how to truly move - not just follow instructions. You will develop body awareness, musicality and the kind of natural movement that no amount of memorised steps can give you.
This class is for everyone - whether you have never danced before or have tried salsa and felt like something was missing. No partner needed, no experience required. Just a willingness to move and a curiosity to understand why.

ESENCIA 2 · Salsa Basics & Shines (on 2)
Every salsa dancer is built on a rich vocabulary of movement. Not one basic step - many. And the freedom to play with all of them.
This class is dedicated to the building blocks of salsa: the steps, the variations, the rhythmic details that make salsa feel alive. Taps, crosses, Susie Qs, turns, different timings - you will build a full toolkit of solo salsa movement and get your first real feeling of dancing salsa on your own terms.
This is where salsa starts to feel like yours.

Esencia 2 · Salsa Basics & Shines can be started with no prior salsa experience - but we recommend taking Esencia 1 · Movement Fundamentals before or alongside this class. Each new 8-week block introduces fresh steps, new combinations and different variations - so no two blocks are ever the same. At Fuego Dance Factory, the basics are never boring. They are endlessly deep.

ESENCIA 3 · Advanced Salsa Basics (on 2)
Good dancers are recognized by their basics. Not by their most impressive moves - by the quality of everything underneath them.
You already know salsa. You know the steps, you know the rhythm, you can hold your own on the floor. But something is telling you there is more - more precision, more fluidity, more intention in every single movement. That feeling is right. And this is the class for it.
The technique goes deeper, the standards are higher, and the work is more demanding.

ALMA - The Soul
The foundation meets feeling. Your dance finds its voice.
Alma is where the rules bend - beautifully. Once you have a solid foundation, Alma is where you apply it freely. Each Alma class fuses latin movement with a different dance vocabulary - contemporary, jazz, funk, reggaeton, reparto and more.
These are not harder versions of Esencia. They are different directions from the same root. You pick the fusion that calls to you.
Solid Esencia foundation required for all Alma classes. Some classes build on Esencia Salsa specifically, others on Latin Movement broadly - check individual class descriptions.
ALMA · Contemporary Fusion
Salsa meets contemporary movement. This class takes your latin foundation and opens it into the fluid, expressive world of contemporary dance - exploring how the two vocabularies speak to each other in ways that will surprise you.
This class is for dancers who have a foundation and are ready to be surprised by what they can do with it.

FUEGO - The Next Level
Turn up the heat.
Fuego classes are for those who are ready to be challenged - really challenged.
Built for intermediate dancers with a solid foundation who want to push further. Technically, creatively, physically. Fuego is intense. It demands focus, commitment and a willingness to go to places that feel uncomfortable - because that is exactly where growth happens.
FUEGO · The Standard (on 2)
This is the highest level class at Fuego Dance Factory - intense, demanding and deeply rewarding. Speed, balance, body mechanics, advanced combinations, personal style are all on the table. This is where you stop being good and start becoming unforgettable on any dancefloor.
One important note: we do not adapt the level of this class to the room. The standard is set, and it is high. If you are not there yet - Esencia 3 · Advanced Basics is exactly where to build towards it. There is no shame in that. It is the right way up.
